DESCRIPTION:The Magic of Group Coaching: Skills for Confident Facilitation\nNow Open to the Public! \nThis event is now open to both NBC-HWCs and the public. NBC-HWCs can attend for free by logging into their account before registering. If you can’t join us live\, no worries\, a recording will be sent to all registered attendees. \nThe Magic of Group Coaching: Skills for Confident Facilitation \nThis interactive class introduces participants to the essential skills to deliver impactful group coaching sessions. We’ll explore the fundamentals of group coaching\, its unique benefits\, common challenges\, and how it differs from other formats. We’ll learn reliable strategies to foster natural engagement and explore tricky group dynamics through real-time scenario breakdowns. There will be space for questions and to share personal nerves or concerns about group coaching. Perfect for coaches looking to build confidence and sharpen their group facilitation skills! \nBio: \n\nRachel Barach is the Founding Program Director of the Community as Medicine Health Coach Training Program\, an NBC-HWC\, and a Certified QPR Instructor. Rachel’s vision is to expand access to quality health coaching for all who need it! She believes health is a basic human right. In her current role\, she serves as the Director of Training at Open Source Wellness\, an Oakland-based nonprofit offering experiential behavioral health and wellness via a “Community As Medicine” approach in collaboration with healthcare providers and insurers. She trains health coaches with a focus on trauma-informed coaching\, cultural relevance\, social determinants of health\, empathy\, rapport\, and suicide prevention. Rachel’s teaching style is engaging\, nuanced\, humorous\, and enthusiastic. \nPersonal Insights: \nWhy are you passionate about this topic? Group coaching is so special!  There is something powerful about talking about your challenges and goals with others that melts away shame and supports change.  The role of a coach is to create the space for the magic to happen. \nWhat do you hope attendees will gain from participating in your session? I hope attendees will feel inspired to try leading group coaching or bring new strategies to their groups!  Sometimes good coaching is about leading with confidence and attendees will feel more prepared to handle group facilitation dynamics. \nThis session will provide 1.5 CE for all NBC-HWCs. \n\nCOST: \nNBC-HWC – FREE \nPublic – $25 \nRegister Here
