The National Board for Health & Wellness believes scholarship offerings promote equity of access to training opportunities for health coaches from all backgrounds, and are a step towards reducing health inequities and improving health care outcomes for all.

The programs listed below meet or exceed the NBHWC published standards for health and wellness coach training and education.  Graduates from these programs qualify to apply for the NBHWC National Board Certification Exam and have the opportunity to earn the designation, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).

When looking for the right coach training program for you, make certain to first look for the NBHWC Seal of Approval – only NBHWC Approved Programs carry this unique Seal. It is the responsibility of each student to ensure that they understand a program’s approval status prior to enrolling.

The National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) reviews and approves coach training programs. NBHWC does not offer training  and does not offer recommendations for specific coach training programs.
