Applicants are responsible for verifying NBHWC exam eligibility prior to applying. Application fees are non-refundable.

To Qualify for the National Board Certification Exam you must:

• Complete an NBHWC Approved Training Program
  • Applicants will be required to upload a certificate of completion and/or the NBHWC Exam Eligibility Letter. The following information must be included with proof of eligibility:
    • Program Name
    • Date of Completion
    • Date of Final Practical Skills Assessment
    • NBHWC Seal of Approval
• Complete 50 health and wellness coaching sessions
• Document completion of an associate’s degree (or higher) or 4,000 hours of work experience

Application documents can be downloaded below.  Proof of program completion will be provided by the NBHWC Approved Training Program upon completion of the approved program.

Eligibility requirements must be completed prior to the exam application deadline.
