Excited to Announce the Launching of our Ambassador Program
We’re excited to introduce the NBHWC Ambassador Program, a new initiative designed to elevate the voice of National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coaches and strengthen connections across our community. This program brings together coaches from diverse backgrounds to share the impact of Board-Certification, support peers, and advance the profession.
Why We Launched the Ambassador Program
The Ambassador Program was created to amplify real-world perspectives from NBC-HWCs working across healthcare, education, corporate wellness, and community settings, and, just as importantly, to listen more closely to the voices of coaches in the field. Over time, we’ve heard a consistent desire for deeper connection, greater involvement, and more opportunities to shape the profession’s future.
This program is our way of meeting that need. By partnering with NBC-HWCs who bring diverse experiences and insights, we’re building a collaborative space to share feedback, strengthen engagement, and ensure our work reflects coaches’ true needs. Our Ambassadors help highlight the value of national standards while fostering meaningful connections across the coaching community, bridging lived experience and organizational direction.
What Ambassadors Do
NBHWC Ambassadors serve as trusted voices for the profession, helping to share the importance of national standards and Board-Certification while representing the diverse ways NBC-HWCs support individuals and communities. Ambassadors may participate in educational campaigns, share NBHWC content across social platforms, and collaborate on special initiatives that highlight the impact of health and wellness coaching.
In addition to outward-facing engagement, Ambassadors play an important behind-the-scenes role during this pilot phase. They provide feedback on resources, messaging, and program structure, helping us understand what feels practical, meaningful, and sustainable in real-world coaching settings. Some Ambassadors may also choose to contribute through speaking opportunities, webinars, podcasts, or by leading or participating in working groups focused on specific projects or areas of growth.
Above all, this program is designed to be collaborative and flexible. Ambassador involvement varies based on individual availability and interests, with opportunities shared in advance so participants can opt in when aligned. Together, we’re building a program that reflects the lived experience of NBC-HWCs and supports the continued growth and credibility of the profession.
Our Pilot Cohort
We’re launching with a small pilot group of Ambassadors representing a broad range of expertise, backgrounds, and professional settings across the health and wellness coaching field. This initial cohort will serve as thought partners as we shape the program, offering real-world insight into what feels practical, meaningful, and impactful. Their feedback will help refine resources, strengthen outreach efforts, and inform future programming, ensuring the Ambassador Program is built with coaches, not just for them. Together, we’re laying the foundation for a sustainable, community-driven initiative that reflects the diverse ways NBC-HWCs support individuals, workplaces, and communities.
