Brenda C. Buffington, EdD, NBC-HWC, EP-C
Dr. Brenda Buffington is a Certified Exercise Physiologist and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach. Before joining The Ohio State University, she was the Assistant Director of the Human Performance Laboratory at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Brenda is in her seventh year at The Ohio State University as the Executive Director of the Health Athlete Program, a Buckeye Wellness Program Manager under the Office of the Chief Wellness Officer, an assistant professor for the Bachelor of Science degree program; Health & Wellness Innovation in Healthcare and the Lead Faculty for the Health & Wellness Coaching Graduate Certificate in the College of Nursing. She is currently conducting an Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Patient Safety Advancement Grant funded study utilizing Health & Wellness Coaching with chronically ill patients, and an R01 NIH grant funded study as the Director of Health Coaching. She is passionate about health & wellness education, research and coaching, and helping everyone to live more fully engaged lives to become their best self.
