The Healthcare Commission is responsible for integrating health & wellness coaches onto the healthcare team, supporting job opportunities and reimbursement for HWC services and legal guidance regarding health & wellness coaches in healthcare. Since 2019, this commission has laid the foundation for reimbursement, which includes a taxonomy code for health and wellness coaches approval, utilization, and the path to Category I status of Category III CPT codes for health and well-being coaching services. The commission is forming collaborations with stakeholder groups to further its agenda.
