Cara Feldman Hunt, MA, NBC-HWC, Director, University of Vermont Integrative Health

Cara has been in the field of Integrative Healthcare since 2008 and is passionate about health equity and incorporating integrative health practices through education, clinical practice, research, and policy. She is the Director of UVM Integrative Health (UVMIH), a program that spans the UVM College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS), The Larner College of Medicine (LCOM), and The UVM Medical Center (UVMMC). Cara develops partnerships, programs, and strategic initiatives to make whole health accessible for all. Cara’s background is in organizational development; she has worked in large corporate settings, small start-ups, non-profits, and educational institutions, developing systems and implementing programs.

Before her work at UVMIH, she was the Executive Director of the Laura Mann Center for Integrative Health, a 501C3 that promoted the benefits of integrative healthcare by bridging the gap between community members, policymakers, and health practitioners from all disciplines. Under Cara’s leadership, the Laura Mann Center successfully merged with UVM to form UVM Integrative Health in 2015.

Cara received her MA from Columbia University, Teachers College in Organizational
Psychology, and her BA in Psychology from Ohio Wesleyan University. In 2017, she completed the Leadership Program in Integrative Healthcare at Duke University, and in 2019 she completed the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy and became a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) in 2020. Cara is the co-chair of the Policy Committee for the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine and Health, serves on the policy committee for IM4US and on the NBHWC Coaching in Healthcare Alliance.

She lives in Williston, VT, with her husband and two children.
